Elite Insulation & PolyPro LLC Applies Spray Foam To Create Air and Vapor Barrier for Hot Yoga Studio

Hot yoga studio owners are often faced with the challenge of maintaining a 105-degree temperature and 40 percent humidity in their studio, the desired climate for their 90-minute yoga sessions. Moisture from the humidity can potentially lead to mold and mildew causing an unhealthy atmosphere for customers and even structural damage to the building. PolyPro Wins Specialty Application 2012 Award

The Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance presented their national awards show on Wednesday. Elite Insulation & PolyPro LLC from Broadway, Virginia
emerged a grand prize winner.

Elite Insulation & PolyPro LLC was the nation-wide first place winner, who captured the crystal sculpture awarded in the category of Specialty Applications Spray Foam. Nominations were received throughout the previous 12 months from across the country in this annual gala event. Culled from an extensive list to three finalists, Elite Insulation & PolyPro LLC, the 43 Meter Satellite Telescope (Largest Equatorial Satellite Telescope in the World), was judged by industry experts to be the best in the trade. Ken Wells accepted the award on behalf of the ten employees working there. Judges review the anonymous nominations independently on a secure, online site from their home state. PolyPro Fixes Satellite Telescope with Spray Foam

Ken Wells and his crew from Elite Insulation & PolyPro LLC recently sprayed the 43 Meter Satellite Telescope in Greenbank, WV.

Installed in the 1960s, the National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NRAO)'s 43 Meter Satellite Telescope, located in Greenbank, WV, is deemed the largest equatorial satellite telescope in the world. Currently, the telescope is being used in a collaborative project with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to study pulsars. Ken Wells, owner of Elite Insulation & Poly Pro, LLC, recently tells that the NRAO recently contracted him to furnish and apply spray polyurethane foam insulation and elastomeric coating on the polar shaft of the 140-foot telescope. PolyPro Helps Spray Eco-Friendly Home

Ken Wells and his team from Elite Insulation & PolyPro LLC recently completed a job that involved the application of spray foam insulation into a environmentally-friendly home in eastern Virginia.

Ken Wells, of Elite Insulation & PolyPro LLC, was at the head of operations for the job. His two-man team headed to Rockbridge County last month to a provide spray foam insulation for a customer who had an environmentally-friendly house. "The house was completely off the grid," said Wells. "We have worked with a lot of people who are thinking 'green,' but this was the first time we have ever sprayed a house that was running its own power." Read the complete article here

PolyPro is the proud recipient of one of the SPFA National Industry Excellence Awards for 2011. PolyPro was chosen for the award for their superior work done on the Hawthorne Estate. The home was owned by President George Washington. PolyPro's work was featured on the cover of Spray Foam magazine's August 2010 issue. PolyPro helps Student Built Leed House Project

PolyPro was happy to assist Charlottesville Albemarle Technical Education Center (CATEC) to build a "Green Home." As part of a renewed commitment to serve local industry demands, as well as address global energy concerns, the students of CATEC's Carpentry Program constructed the Hinge House with an eye toward improving our environment. PolyPro, LLC Installs Foam Roof over Metal

PolyPro, LLC installed a spray foam overtop of the metal roof of Kline's Dairy Bar and BBQ in Staunton, VA. When Kim Arehart, owner of Kline's Dair Bar and BBQ wanted a system to restore her leaking metal roof, she turned to PolyPro, LLC for the solution. Kim Arehart was so impressed with PolyPro and the spray foam solution applied to her roof that she has asked PolyPro to return and finish the spray foam application in the stores attic.

PolyPro, LLC assists Habitat For Humanity

Through the joint efforts of the Shenandoah Valley Builders Association and the Green Building Committee of the Association, and, of course Central Valley Habitat for Humanity. PolyPro LLC donated its time and resources in helpling one familes home become EarthCraft and Energy Star certified.

For the project PolyPro LLC used Open Cell spray polyurethane foam insulation. This insulation process is on the cutting edge of the green building trend, and will save this Habitat for Humanity family on their heating and cooling costs.

PolyPro, LLC Applies Spray Foam Insulation to Historical Home in Virginia

When the owners of an historical home in Broadway, Virginia decided to renovate their attic to make it a livable space, they had many options to consider when it came to insulation. For aesthetic purposes, they wanted to keep as much of the original beams exposed as possible, so they needed maximum R- value in a small amount of space. The contractor hired to do the remodeling suggested spray foam as the perfect solution.

The contractor referred the owners of the home to PolyPro LLC, a locally owned and operated family spray foam business. Read the entire article
